N- Power - Con merchants and thieves.

Isnt it about time the spineless Government did something about the extortionate charges levied on us by greedy utility companies ? Now the electricity company informs us that it is going to increase its charges by 27% thereby leaving millions without the buying power to have electricity. As usual the old and infirm suffer most and then followed by the poor and needy. And the poor and needy are a lot more than you think as 90% of this country is in severe debt. Debt brought on by increasing costs of running this Government and their money grabbing ways of increasing Council Tax and reducing any benefits thay you may be eligible for. Taxes are at the highest ever in the history of this country and are being increased in one way or another as I write this! Fuel costs may be high but it is conveniently forgotten that the extortionate duty on Fuel is mainly to blame for this. That is why petrol and diesel costs on the continent are a lot lower than here in the UK.
Why are we so complacent here to let every utility company hold us to ransom as they please so as to increase dividends to their greedy shareholders ? I expect the next one to announce price increases will be Gas and then Water, something we cant live without.
I shall repeat myself once again and say that these utilities MUST be back in the hands of non-profit making companies. IT must NOT be in the hands of commercial enterprise companies seeking ever increasing profits.

Wouldnt it be nice to have these included with your tax bill each year and then it would be fairly distributed according to your means and what you earn!

I think it is a mistake to believe that the government runs this country. It is controlled very firmly by the very rich, and always has been.

None of that stops Gordon "is a moron" Brown and his toy chancellor changing fuel duty to a flat rate instead of a percentage, which would go a long way to cushioning the effect of changes in the supply price, instead of magnifying their effect.

I meant the very rich when I mentioned the word Government! Money has always controlled Governments lol Money always buys power......unfortunately not always for the good of everyone!
